PTI is continuation of past govts, says Siraj

HYDERABAD: Jamaat-i-Islami Pakistan emir Sirajul Haq has said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government is a continuation of past regimes while his party is diametrically different from both the PTI and Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) as JI is striving for the enforcement of Nizam-i-Mustafa in the country.

He said at a condolence reference held for local party leader Sheikh Shaukat at a mosque in Latifabad on Sunday that JI was a global Islamic movement and tyrannical forces did not like it because they wanted the party to give up its slogan for enforcement of Islamic system.

He said that JI had told these forces in crystal clear terms that it would never accept the United States as its master. JI’s narrative was different from that of PTI and PDM as it wanted to see state behave like a mother and stop twisting arms of masses, he said.

He said that JI was working for the establishment of a state that ensured justice, equal opportunities for jobs, education and healthcare to people without any discrimination.

He said that people should exercise their right to vote keeping in view national interest and ensure bright future for future generations to help achieve the goal for which Pakistan had been created.

He said that Hyderabad being historic and second largest city of Sindh had been in a shambles. People of Hyderabad must learn from their past mistakes and they should now support JI for the enforcement of a just system in the country, he said.

JI naib emir Asadullah Bhutto paid glowing tribute to Sheikh Shaukat Ali and said he never preferred his business over the party activities and devoted his life to Islam.

He challenged forces that believed in ethnicity and lingual politics with courage and boldness.
