PM’s incompetence subjecting country to crises: ANP

SWAT: Awami National Party provincial president Aimal Wali Khan on Friday said Prime Minister Imran Khan’s incompetence had subjected the country to multiple crises.

Addressing a meeting of party workers in Mingora here, the ANP leader said unfortunately, Pakistan was badly hit by two problems, including Covid-19 and PTI government, and the people were confused about how to get rid of them.

“The PTI government and Premier Imran Khan are more dangerous for the country than coronavirus,” he said.

Mr Aimal criticised Imran Khan for saying he wasn’t prepared to rule the country when he became the prime minister.

He said when all democratic political parties of the country gathered under the PDM and Pakistani nation stood with them, it caused fear among the ruling party and the elements behind it.

Says time to send PTI govt packing

“All parties are united on the 10 points of the PDM and the unity will go on,” he said.

The ANP leader said people from across the country would march on Islamabad to take the selected government and its selectors to the people’s court.

He said running a democratic movement (PDM) under the current circumstances was not an easy task and some political parties were not courageous enough to be part of it.

“Movements like PDM needs strong and sincere politicians like that of ANP and not those, who remained part of every government,” he said.

Mr Aimal said it was time to send the government packing.

“The selected rulers gave nothing to the people except inflation, unemployment and disappointment. Those, who selected Imran Khan as PM, are now repenting their selection over his failure on all fronts of governance,” he said.

The ANP leader said PM Imran, who repeatedly said he won’t offer NRO amnesty to opposition politicians, was seeking it for himself.

He said it was his party’s government, which initiated mega development projects in Swat.

“Now, the fake government is taking the ANP’s credit for projects. Many projects approved by the ANP government for Swat were terminated by the PTI in an act of injustice towards the people of Swat,” he said.

On the occasion, some influential families of Swat along with their supporters joined the ANP.

The ANP provincial president welcomed them and said the party’s doors were open to all and the party would become stronger with their joining.

ANP district leaders Ayub Asharey, Asim Khan, Shahi Dawran and Nisar Khan also spoke on the occasion.
