LAKKI MARWAT: The local leaders of Awami National Party have said that the days of the incumbent government are numbered and people will soon get rid of it.

They said that ANP would show its political strength in the public meeting of Pakistan Democratic Movement in Bannu on January 6. They said that ANP workers would gather in Naurang town from where they would set out for Bannu in a big rally.

The local chapter of ANP held a meeting held at the party’s office in Naurang the other day with district president Malik Ali Sarwar Khan in the chair to assign duties to workers about the PDM rally.

The meeting was attended by ANP activists and office-bearers of Pakhtun Students Federation, Malgari Wakeelan, Malgari Ustazan and Malgari Leekwaal.

Speaking on the occasion, Malik Ali Sarwar and Malik Riaz said that PDM would succeed in its struggle against the government with the support of people. They said that days of government were numbered and people would soon get rid of it.

PROTEST: The members of Secondary Schoolteachers Welfare Association and Mutahidda Mahaz Asateza held a protest demonstration in Bannu the other day to press the government for acceptance of their demands.

Speaking on the occasion, their leaders Riaz Khan, Faridullah Shah Bukhari, Pirzada Dilfaraz Khan and others said that government was not serious in resolving the problems faced by teachers.

They said that a resolution adopted by the provincial assembly in the previous PTI government to award BPS-17 to secondary schoolteachers could not be implemented so far.

MOU: University of Lakki Marwat has signed a memorandum of understanding with National University of Science and Technology Islamabad for establishment of campus management system in the varsity.

Lakki Marwat University Vice-chancellor Prof Aurangzeb Khan and NUST Pro-rector Dr Nasar Ikram signed the agreement at a ceremony held here the other day. Under the agreement, NUST will extend assistance to Lakki varsity to computerise academic, administrative, financial and other relevant matters and record.

The campus management system and computerisation of record would help in execution of all relevant matters quickly.
