HYDERABAD: LUMHS declares MBBS results

HYDERABAD, Oct 6: The controller of examinations, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro, on Thursday announced the result of MBBS third professional annual examination 2005 of the LUMHS, Chandka Medical College, Larkana, and People’s Medical College for Girls, Nawabshah.

According to the result, Urooj, daughter of Ali Nawaz Memon, seat No. 726, secured the first position by securing 723 marks. Fatima Rizniya Mooseen, seat No. 612, bagged the second position by obtaining 715 marks.

The third position was shared by Mohammad Mahmood Al-Bourini, seat No. 101, and Muzamil, daughter of Dilber Hussain Waryah, seat No. 644 by scoring 701 marks.

SSC RESULTS: The controller of examinations, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad, on Thursday announced the result of SSC part-I (class-IX) examinations 2005 of the science group.

Around 39,878 candidates had appeared in the examination, while 29,987 were declared pass in all five subjects. The results of 232 candidates were withheld for various reasons.

HEALTH FACILITIES: Sindh Minister for Health Shabbir Ahmed Qaimkhani has said the government was trying to provide better health facilities to the poor.

He was speaking at the foundation-stone-laying-ceremony of a hostel for visiting and foreign faculty at the Liaquat University, Jamshoro.

He urged doctors and the paramedical-staff to work in the remote areas voluntarily as there was shortage of doctors at such places. The minister regretted that the medicines which were provided to the hospitals and the basic health units were being sold to shops.
