Free downloads on PlayStation Plus

PlayStation has announced that Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Maneater and Greedfall will be free to download for PlayStation Plus subscribers in January.

PlayStation Plus is a paid membership for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 that allows users to play games online with friends, get free games every month and receive discounts through the PlayStation Store.

These members on PlayStation 4 can download Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Greedfall, an action role-playing game. Maneater is exclusive to PlayStation 5 members and is available to be downloaded along with the other two games.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider finds treasure hunter Lara Croft in the jungles of South America as she tries to save the world from a Maya apocalypse. Maneater puts players in the role of a shark tasked with eating through the ecosystem.

David Bowie single album released

A new David Bowie single album has been released in honour of the late singer’s birthday that has recently passed.

Bowie’s previously unreleased covers of John Lennon’s ‘Mother’ and Bob Dylan’s ‘Tryin’ to Get to Heaven” were released on vinyl and in digital format on his 74th birthday.

The vinyl version is available as a limited-edition single, which is limited to 8,147 numbered copies. 1,000 of the copies are printed on cream coloured vinyl.

Bowie died January 10, 2016, at age 69, following a battle with liver cancer.

Wonder Woman 3 in the works

A third Wonder Woman movie is in the works, with star Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins returning for the next chapter.

“As fans around the world continue to embrace Diana Prince, driving the strong opening weekend performance of Wonder Woman 1984, we are excited to be able continue her story with our real-life Wonder Women — Gal and Patty — who will return to conclude the long-planned theatrical trilogy,” said the studio’s chief Toby Emmerich.

Wonder Woman 1984, the sequel to 2017’s Wonder Woman, was released in theatres and on the streaming service HBO Max simultaneously.

The unique hybrid release strategy was adopted as many movie houses remain closed and audience members are still leery of indoor entertainment amid the coronavirus pandemic. Warner Bros. announced that it will release all of its 2021 movies on HBO Max.
