A 24-inch diameter water supply line at the Thadi Sarak water reservoir of the Water and Sanitation Agency burst with an explosion, affecting water supply to areas connected with the water supply network.

The non-supply of water has caused hardships to fast observing people as there was no water in mosques for ablution purposes.

WASA officials began the repair of water supply line and after hectic efforts the line was repaired.

The areas located in close vicinity of the water reservoir started getting normal supply of water but tail-end areas like American Quarters, Hali road and Effendi town are still hit by water shortage.
