Rescue 1122 takes over Kohat hospital ambulances
KOHAT: The Rescue 1122 on Saturday took over all the ambulances along with the drivers of the government hospitals for free shifting of patients from one facility to another.
The health department had directed the hospitals to hand over ambulances to the rescue service for provision of better services to the patients in emergencies.
The drivers and ambulances of Liaquat Memorial Hospital (Women and Children Hospital) have been formally put on the disposal of Rescue 1122.
District emergency officer, Kohat, Naveed Khan said the medical technicians of the Rescue 1122 had already been appointed at the hospitals and attached to the ambulances to provide first aid to patients.
The Rescue 1122 staff will remain on duty in all the hospitals 24/7 to provide modern medical emergency services to the patients, Mr Khan stated Naveed Khan said the Rescue 1122 staff would shift patients from one hospital to another if a competent doctor recommended this.
