The power of gifts

This is regarding the cover story, “The power of gifts” by Benazir Raz (YW, January 9). It was a wonderful piece of writing highlighting a very important part of life, that is giving gifts to each other without any occasion. In our fast-paced life we often forget giving small treats, in other words – gifts. Gifts bring happiness and also give a feeling of being important to someone.

I completely agree with the writer that one should become the cause of bringing happiness in others’ life and gifts do wonder in this regard.

Retribution is real

This is with reference to the article “Retribution is real” by Ayesha Illyas (YW, January 2). The article was very informative and had a valuable lesson for all of us.

I agree with the writer that if we do something bad or hurt someone, the same will happen to us one day.

The article “Retribution is real” by Ayesha Ilyas gave an important message to the readers. People have forgotten about retribution and do everything without giving a single thought to what they are doing, how it will affect other’s emotions and what will it result into.

People are just clueless that the sadness, pain and all the things caused by their actions to others will come back to them one day. Being a good human being is to always do good to others and never hurt others’ feelings.

Electricity crisis

Electricity is one of the most needed requirements in today’s world, but, unfortunately, Tehsil Tump (Balochistan) is devoid of this basic necessity of life.

It is unbelievable that in the 21st century, people of Tump are living like the ones who lived centuries ago in caves without having electricity.

No one can think about living without having electricity, but, unfortunately, the people of Tump have no choice.

It is requested to the government to take strong actions to solve this issue and let the people of Tump also have this basic necessity of life.

Cook-it-yourself

This is regarding the fortnightly column “Cook it yourself” by Aamnah Arshad. I would like to appreciate the contributor for fabulous recipes which are usually very easy to try and they taste delicious.

I am a keen reader of the magazine and I like this section very much.
