CM’s aide inaugurates teleclinic in Kohat

KOHAT: A teleclinic has been inaugurated in Kohat district with the cooperation of WHO under the Sehat Kahani programme to provide free medical care online by doctors to the people living in remote areas.

Adviser to the chief minister on information technology MPA Ziaullah Bangash inaugurated the teleclinic in the presence of international team leader of WHO on sexual and reproductive health Ms Ellan Smith, national population officer Dr Qudsia Uzma, deputy director national coordination health Dr Atia Abro, KP’s population officer Mazhar Khan, founding partner of Sehat Kahani, Dr Sara Saeed Khurram and Farooq Khan.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms Ellan Smith said they were proud that they had launched the programme of e-clinic at the time of Covid-19, which was serving thousands of patients and prescribing them tele-health solutions and mobile applications.

She said the doctors could advise the patients sitting in their homes. She said there was a dire need to increase the capacity of doctors through e-clinics.

Mr Bangash said it was high time they should improve the capacity of teleclinic and doctors through virtual healthcare.

HOUSING SOCIETIES: The tehsil municipal administration here has asked the property dealers association to register all housing societies and complete related formalities to avoid suspension of work and their cancellation.

President of the association Pir Kamran Shah and its secretary general called on TMO Mohammad Shoeb to get information about the requirements for launching a housing project. Mr Shoeb asked them to visit the TMA offices and get the required information before starting a housing society.

TOURNMENT: First police martyrs’ cricket tournament kicked off on Sunday here at Kohat stadium. As many as 40 teams from southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are taking part in the event.

Junglekhel police SHO Afzal Khan inaugurated the tournament in the presence of local sports officials.
