22 vehicles, 2 new DSP posts for Muzaffargarh police

MUZAFFARGARH: The police received 22 new vehicles for asmany police stations on Saturday. On the orders of Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, the south Punjab additional inspector general also approved two DSPs seats for this district from this month.

District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Hassan Iqbal told Dawn one DSP would sit in Kot Addu’s Qasba Gujrat and work as DSP Sadar to oversee the working of three police stations and the other will work as the Muzaffargarh city DSP.

The DPO said that he was shifting the Muzaffargarh Sadar police station to Khanpur Bagga Sher while the Civil Line police station would be shifted to the old Muzaffargarh Sadar police station. Also, the Muzaffargarh City DSP office would be shifted to near the city police station. Right now, the DSP office is in the DPO office building.

The DPO claimed that he had set up a welfare office for police officials from where applications for leave, loan and medical facilities would be processedwhile officials would be informed about the decision digitally.

He said a new water filtration plant and a new mosque had been made functional. Also, DG Khan RPO Faisal Rana visited Muzaffargarh district and inaugurated Rescue 15 building. A new police station was built in Qasba Gujrat which would be inaugurated by the south Punjab IG soon.

He said he had sent proposals for arranging new buildings for certain police stations which were in a dangerous condition.
