SUKKUR: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Sukkur, on Friday claimed to have arrested “a terrorist” belonging to a banned outfit late on Thursday night.

Identifying the suspect as Asghar Hussain Khokhar, a spokesman for the Sukkur CTD said he was arrested during a raid on a place in the Bagarji area of the city.

He claimed that during interrogation, the suspect confessed to have carried out several acts of terrorism in Karachi.

He said the CTD raiding party seized explosive material from him.
