Squash: World Team championship will go ahead

LONDON, Oct 12: World Squash Federation confirmed on Wednesday that December’s Men’s World Team Championships in Islamabad will go on despite last week’s earthquake disaster.

“The WSF is shocked at the devastation and loss of life in one of our key squash nations,” said chief executive Christian Leighton.

“We have been in contact with our colleagues at Pakistan Squash Federation who have confirmed that the Federation, squash players and squash community at large are all unharmed.

“We are delighted, therefore, that World Team Championships will go ahead as planned,” said Leighton.—PPI
