Tents go missing in markets

ISLAMABAD, Oct 13: Tents have gone missing in markets of the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Quake relief workers and citizens are desperately looking for tents but there are none available.

During a survey, Ahmed Saleem, a trader at the Raja Bazaar, said they had sold their whole stock and demands are on the rise. He said they are facing difficulties to meet the demands.

A citizen, at a relief centre said the quake-victims should be provided with the much-needed shelter.

Common people and relief workers have demanded of the government to look into the matter and arrange tents from foreign markets to help the quake-victims.—Online
