Addressing a gathering here on Sunday, he said in fact they (opposition parties) were having serious internal differences and some of the members did not want to vote for the PDM candidates and spoiled their votes.

He said this provided an opportunity to the ruling party to snatch victory from the opposition parties.

Mr Qaiser recalled that the ruling party had told the opposition parties to make legislation for preventing such practices. Every member was taught before the Senate elections how they should use the vote, he said, and claimed that some of the members intentionally wasted their votes.

About JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the NA speaker claimed that he was no longer relevant in the country’s politics.
