Don’t waste your time!

This is regarding the article “Don’t waste your time!” by Ayesha Ilyas (YW, February 27). It was a wonderful article for all teenagers who are wasting their time on useless websites and apps. The article teaches us that time is more precious than money. Reading YW every week develops our personality, because it is loaded with news and articles that give us information about the world and we get the chance to read great advices and opinions as well.

Library needs space

I am a regular visitor of Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto Memorial Library, Larkana. This is the only public library where each day a good number of students come from the city and other nearby areas to study. Moreover, this library has produced great many scholars that serve both at the national and international level.

It is good to see that the number of students who come to the library has increased in the recent past, but due to the under-construction halls, students feel helpless to sit on the ground or in the corridors to study. Construction work has been going on there for the last three years, causing a lot of problems for students.

Therefore, it is my request to the culture department and the concerned authorities to build the under-construction halls as soon as possible for the convenience of students.

Haste makes waste

This is with reference to the cover story “Haste makes waste” by Benazir Raz (YW, February 27). The article provided insight into the common habit that we are all accustomed to.

It is true that we are always in a rush no matter what, we always feel the urge to do things quickly; and in the process we lose the real essence of the very moment. Apart from that, in doing things quickly, we usually lack productivity and the result is not up to the mark.

If you do not rush, you will enjoy the moment more, experiencing things on a deeper level. So, in my opinion, we should stop and think for a moment whether doing things in haste really gives us the result we want or not.

Readers are leaders!

The story “Readers are leaders” by Laiba Khan gave us the advice of reading books on daily basis because reading not only helps us to get good grades, but also helps us to be a better version of ourselves. We all need to adopt a habit of reading books. Each word carries consequences we can

learn and get benefit from it.
