Indus network wins award

KARACHI: The Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN) recently won the ‘Best Innovative Solution Award’ at the Member Global Meeting organised by the International Humanitarian City in Dubai.

The award was in recognition of the network’s primary care programme’s interventions in Pakistan’s underprivileged areas; the country’s first-ever boat clinic in the Rajanpur district of south Punjab and container-based community health centres in the areas of Khorwah Chowk and Shadi Large in Badin.

According to IHHN officials, the mobile boat clinic launched last year is providing quality comprehensive primary care services free of charge to the marginalized communities in an area with a catchment population of 105,000 people.
