Customs told to play role in boosting economy

QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Amanullah Khan Yasinzai has said the Pakistan Customs Department has a key role to play in stabilising the country’s economy.

He said the customs officers should play their due role in establishing good governance and keeping society free from illegitimate recommendations and corruption.

The governor said this while talking to trainee officers of the Pakistan Customs Service, who were on a study visit to Quetta, led by Mumtaz Ali Khoso, Director General of the Directorate General of Training and Research Karachi. Balochistan Customs Collector Waheed Marwat was also present on the occasion.

Governor Yasinzai said the government officials should use their professional skills to solve the problems and difficulties faced by the people without coming under any kind of pressure.
