Army chief visits logistics installation
RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited a Logistics Installation on Tuesday, said an ISPR press release.
The army chief was briefed about various facilities being developed, construction of new sheds and upgrading of existing infrastructure.
Gen Bajwa praised the capacity enhancement of the depot, adoption of modern procedures and performance/commitment of the depot in provision of rations and other commodities at Rawalpindi station and Corps Area of Responsibilities.
Earlier on arrival, the COAS was received by Lieutenant General Azhar Saleh Abbasi, Chief of Logistic Staff.
Meanwhile, Ambassador of China to Pakistan Nong Rong called on Gen Bajwa at the GHQ here.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, progress on CPEC and regional security were discussed.
The Chinese ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s sincere efforts for bringing peace and stability to the region, especially through the Afghan peace process.
Lieutenant General Faiz Hamid, the director general of Inter Services Intelligence, also attended the meeting.
