Wonder Craft: Ice cream stick planes

Hey friends, it’s always fun to decorate one’s room, wall or even ceiling. Don’t you want to paste a nice poster on the wall or any drawing that you have made?

Yes, most of us want to bring some creativity to our rooms or in our houses; so, I have come up with a nice and fun idea of decorating your room or any corner that you want to brighten up. All you need is ice cream sticks and some glue. Let’s begin!

Things you need:

  1. Ice cream sticks (1 large plain and 2 coloured)

  2. Ice cream sticks (4 small plain and 1 coloured)

  3. Hot glue or white glue

  4. Scissors

  5. String (optional)

  6. Cardboard strip (optional)

Note: The above given number of the sticks is for making one plane.

Directions:

  1. Cut the small-coloured stick from the centre, picture 2.

  2. Criss-cross both the pieces from the small stick; then cut one large-coloured stick in half and curve the edges from both sides, picture 3.

  3. Attach all four small sticks together, (this is the base or the main body of our plane), then put some glue on one large plain stick in the middle and paste it on the base, leaving half-inch from the top, picture 4.

  4. Paste the coloured large stick on the other side of the base, see picture 5.

  5. Leaving a centimetre from the bottom, glue the smaller piece of coloured stick we cut and trimmed earlier, picture 6.

  6. Put some glue on the front of the plane, and paste the criss-cross sticks, picture 7.

  7. The plane is ready, if you are making more than one, you can either decorate them on the wall or door, picture 8.

  8. Or you can hang them anywhere, by making a ring from a cardboard strip and using yarn string; tie one end to the middle of the plane and the other to the cardboard ring, see pictures 9 and 10.

Your plane is now ready to take off anywhere in your room!
