Militant held in Charsadda raid

CHARSADDA: The police claimed on Friday to have arrested a militant during a raid here.

DSP Shabqadar Farooq Zaman said police raided a hideout in Aranda Ranakhel area and arrested Jamil Ahmed.

He said the raid was supervised by DSP Farooq Zaman, adding the detained terrorist was involved in planting an improvised explosive device along the roadside to target a police mobile on Nov 25, 2013. He was also involved in blowing up a government primary school in Aqrab Dag area on Sept 6, 2013.

According to Saro Kalley police officials, three terrorism cases had already been registered against the outlaw, who was shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
