The administration of Mardan in KP has imposed a complete lockdown in the district with immediate effect for one week — extendable to an indefinite period — due to the prevailing surge in Covid-19 cases.

A notification from the Mardan deputy commissioner's office said anyone found contravening the listed restrictions would be liable to be proceeded against under relevant laws.
