Johi girls college

JOHI is a tehsil of Dadu district with a population of about 67,00,000. It has more than eight union councils (UCs), and is a well-known visiting point in the presence of Gorakh hill station and the kacho area, attracting a large number of tourists every year. One of the biggest issues faced by the local people is the absence of a college for girls in the city.

The local girls are compelled to study with boys, and most parents do not allow their daughters to study in a co-education setup which is why they either do not attend regular classes or quit studies after having done matriculation.

What is more ironic is that a building was constructed for a girls college in 2013, but it is used only for governmental events and functions.

The authorities concerned have been approached several times in this regard, but nothing has been done so far.

The government should help our daughters and sisters if it wants to have educated women, and having them amid us is vital for the progress of society.
