Differences among Balochistan govt partners to be resolved soon: Suri

QUETTA: Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri has said that differences between the chief minister and other leaders of parties in the province’s coalition government would be resolved soon.

Talking to media personnel on Tuesday after visiting the Civil Hospital, Bolan Medical College Complex hospital and Fatima Jinnah Chest hospital, he said that differences among coalition partners were not a new thing.

Replying to a question about recent attacks on members of security forces in Balochistan, he condemned them and held India responsible for these attacks.

He said that Pakistan was playing its due role for peace in Afghanistan, but India did not want its efforts to succeed there.

“A peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan is important for the development and progress of Pakistan,” Mr Suri said.

He lauded efforts of the provincial government to contain third wave of coronavirus. He said that lockdown had been imposed in the larger interest of the people to save them from the deadly disease.

He urged the people to take extra precautions and strictly follow all the SOPs announced by the government in view of the situation in India where the deadly virus had affected millions of people and several thousand people were dying on a daily basis.
