Peshawar traders want business restrictions lifted

PESHAWAR: Traders have demanded of the government to lift the restrictions on businesses after reopening of educational institutions and public parks in Peshawar.

The demand was made at a meeting held under the aegis of Tajir Ittehad Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chaired by Mujeebur Rehman.

The participants said they had suffered immensely due to the coronavirus-induced restrictions and demanded that the government do away with Sunday holiday to boost business activities.

Hailing the reopening of educational institutions, they demanded that the government frame guidelines to ensure that businesses, including wedding halls, hotels and shops, provided services to the people. They also demanded that the government announce interest-free loans for small traders and businesses.

They also sought relief for traders in taxes in the coming budget.
