Affordable internet
SPANNING over 40,000 square feet, the Fazal Software Technology Park was inaugurated in Islamabad in January, just three months after the first software technology park was inaugurated in Gilgit.
This was in line with the government’s vision of Digital Pakistan and uplifting the country’s information technology (IT) industry. These IT parks attract foreign direct investment, create job opportunities and help boost the economy.
The IT and telecommunication companies operating in Pakistan, powered by the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), must realise the increasing demand of services and offer affordability. A
s many people are working from home and students are studying online, speedy internet and broadband services must be provided at affordable rates across Pakistan, especially to the remote regions. This will help reduce the burden of those who are suffering financially due to the pandemic.
