Five robbed, 13 motorcycles snatched in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI: Robbers and thieves had another field day in the garrison city as 29 people were deprived of cash, cellphones and 13 motorcycles.
Police registered cases on the complaints of the crime victims and launched an investigation. However, none of the culprits has been arrested.
Abdul Basit’s family was picnicking near Murree hills when a gunman robbed them of cash and escaped.
Rameez Masih complained to the Banni police that he was robbed of Rs38,000 and two mobile phones by two armed men.
Irfan and Mohammad Bilal lodged similar complaints with the police after robbers snatched cash and mobile phones from them.Mohammad Adnan, a resident of New Town, complained to the police that he was robbed of cash and a mobile phone by three gunmen while Mohammad Asim, a resident of Sadiqabad, was deprived of Rs100,000 and gold jewellery worth Rs150,000.
Vehicle lifters took away motorcycles of Mazhar Abbas and Kabeer Ahmed while Mazhar Abbas told the police that his rickshaw was stolen by thieves.
Shahid Hafeez and Shah Zaib’s motorcycles were stolen from the city police area while Aftab Ahmed’s motorcycle was taken away from Ratta Amral. Naveed Rashid and Mirza Ikhlaq’s motorcycles were lifted from the New Town police area.
Mazhar Khan, Jameel Usmani, Mohammad Farooq and Mohammad Hamza complained to the police that their motorcycles were stolen in Sadiqabad.
