LARKANA: Unknown suspects killed a 13-year-old boy, Amir Jatoi, dropped his body at the entrance of his house in Hamzo Jatoi village and fled on Friday.

The Pir Sher police collected the body, got a post-mortem examination performed and handed it over to the heirs.

They started an investigation into the murder but remained clueless till the evening.

Separately, relatives of a labourer, Irfan Ali Jatial, along with residents of Khair Mohammad Jatial village, on Friday held a demonstration at SSP Chowk in Larkana due to failure of police in arresting his killers.

Leading the protesters, Ashraf, Ibrahim and others told local reporters that Irfan was clubbed to death on June 12 by some unruly suspects, who objected to his act of using a path within the village.

They said an FIR had been lodged against the alleged killers at the Sehar police station but they were not being arrested.

They claimed that the nominated suspects were issuing threats of dire consequences to the victim’s family.

Officials at the Rehmatpur police station held negotiations with the protesters and assured them of justice.
