ISLAMABAD: As many as 32 Covid-19 cases emerged in the capital during the last 24 hours with a slight increase in positivity ratio reported on Thursday.

Rawalpindi district saw 14 people getting infected by the deadly virus. However, no deaths were reported in the federal capital and Rawalpindi.

Officials of the capital administration said 3,118 tests were conducted in the capital out of which results of 17 females and 15 males came back positive. The positivity rate was recorded at 1pc compared to 0.9pc a day earlier.

The officials said 10 cases were reported in the age group of 30-39, followed by nine in 20-29, five in 60-69, four in 50-59, three in 40-49 and one in 10-19.

Likewise, five cases were reported from G-9, followed by four from, I-8, two from F-11 and one each from Loi Bher, Tarlai, G-6, Rawat, G-8, Chak Shahzad, F-8, I-9, Sohan, Model Town, and H-9.

Furthermore, in Rawalpindi district, there are 171 active patients. As many as 31 patients were in hospitals including 14 patients who arrived from other districts and 144 patients were home isolated.

Three of the new patients are from cantonment areas, four from Potohar Town and one from Rawal Town. Two patients arrived from Gujar Khan and one from Taxila.

Ten patients were admitted to Holy Family Hospital, two at Benazir Bhutto Hospital, 10 patients each at Rawalpindi Institute of Urology (RIU) and Fauji Foundation Hospital, respectively.

Two patients are on ventilators in Rawalpindi, 20 required oxygen support and 10 were stable.
