PPP leaders from tribal districts meet Bilawal

MOHMAND: Leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party from Mohmand and Bajaur tribal districts met party’s chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari at the Sindh House in Islamabad on Wednesday and apprised him about the problems facing the locals.

Malik Jangrez Khan from Mohmand, former poll candidate Shahsawar Khan, MNA Sajid Hussain Turi, Aurangzeb Inqalabi from Bajaur and other senior leaders were present in the meeting.

On the occasion, the participants apprised the PPP chairman about non-payment of share in the NFC award to the tribal districts and ‘unfair’ treatment of Pakhtuns in other cities.

Speaking on the occasion, Shahsawar Mohmand said a large number of people could not be registered in the census exercise in Mohmand district as most of them had migrated to other cities due to terrorism.

Bilawal Bhutto announced that the party would be reorganised in the tribal districts to serve the people in a befitting manner.

He said issues of the tribal people would be raised at every forum. All possible cooperation would be extended to help alleviate the backwardness and hardships of the tribal people, he promised.
