CM inspects towns en route to Multan
MULTAN: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar visited various cities on Wednesday while he was on his way to Multan from Lahore.
According to an official announcement, the CM inspected Satghara, Okara, Sahiwal, Chichawatni, Mian Channu and Khanewal en route and issued directions to the administration about different matters. He inspected the mausoleum of the Mir Chakar Azam Rind, a Baloch chieftain in the 15th century, at Satghara, Okara district, to review the restoration work and laid a floral wreath on his grave.
“The Punjab government has restored the grandeur of the mausoleum of Mir Chakar and this step is a strong message of brotherhood to the Baloch people who had special regards for Rind.
The chief minister later inspected cleanliness arrangements in Okara and appreciated the performance of Deputy Commissioner Ali Ejaz.
In Sahiwal, he chaired a meeting at the Circuit House to review the law and order situation and pace of development works. He directed police to continue crackdown against criminals and promised a third-party audit of development projects.
He also directed early completion of repair and maintenance work of GT Road.
The chief minister expressed his displeasure over the poor cleanliness situation in Chichawatni town and gave a warning to the administration.
In Mian Channu, commended the administration over the satisfactory cleanliness situation.
The chief minister also visited Peoples Colony and other areas in Khanewal and expressed satisfaction over the cleanliness situation. “I want every city neat and clean as cleanliness is a fundamental need of people,” he said. In Multan, he went to the residence of the provincial minister for energy Dr Akhtar Malik and condoled the demise of his brother.
