Website review: Animated flicks reloaded

For most kids, there is no match to the animated movies; they are one of their kind as they include all kinds of genres like science fiction, adventure, action, fantasy, and a lot more. However, with the pandemic, the release of various movies, including animated ones, has slowed down from more than a year now.

Now very slowly, things are coming to normal and many big names making animated movies for kids have started releasing the movies. Among them, Disney and Pixar are two of the leading animation studios making some outstanding flicks every now and then and www.pixar.com — will prove to be the heaven for all the fans of Pixar animation out there; with its first ever flick to its current one, you’ll find all the information under one roof.

Pixar doesn’t need any introduction. However, for those having little or no knowledge, let me tell you, Pixar animation studio is known for its critically and commercially successful computer animated features such as The Boss baby, Toy Story, Coco, Incredibles, Cars, Up, Wall-E, Nemo and so many others.

You will find the homepage of the site quite interesting with the poster of their most recent movie (Luca these days). The main menu is on the top with “Feature Flims”, “Short Films”, “Technology”, “Extras”, etc.

Click any of these categories and see the related content. For instance, in Feature films, you will see the thumbnails of all the movies up until now that Pixar has created in descending order. Clicking any movie opens a separate page, with intro of the movie, official trailers the company has released; then character design, their intro, graphic design and all the other authentic details regarding the movie.

The next category, ‘Short films’ is Pixar’s way of innovative storytelling through short movies, giving the freedom to experiment and develop both new ways to tell stories and new technologies.

Of course, the unique and realistic animation needs advanced technology, and Pixar has detailed it all in the “Technology” category. Their use of RenderMan — an academy award winning rendering technology, excelling at producing stunning imagery for VFX and feature film animation.

You can read more interesting content in Extras, with their “Art exhibition”, “Emotions at play”, the “Science Behind Pixar”, “Pixar in concert” etc. all these categories are celebrating Pixar’s achievements, their characters, features and animation in one or another way.

The website is too engaging for its content, so kids beware when you visit at: www.pixar.com
