Abbottabad fall short
ISLAMABAD, Oct 31: Spurred by a century from Ashraf Ali, Abbottabad made a gallant chase but in the end fell short as they lost by 39 runs to Karachi Harbour in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Silver League match at the Diamond Cricket Ground on Monday.
Needing 340 for victory, Abbottabad were bowled out for 301 on the last day of the match with Ashraf making a fine 131 before being run out. Adnan Raees also did well with the bat scoring 64.
The chief wicket taker for Karachi Harbour was Malik Aftab who finished with 4-63.
