ISLAMABAD: The Fed­eral Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday notified that imposition of withholding tax on online markets will come into effect on September 1.

The decision was ann­ounced through a notification SRO984 of 2021.

The government in the budget 2021-22, had imposed withholding tax at a rate of two per cent on gross value of supplies of persons other than active taxpayers.
