Faisalabad clinch team archery title
LAHORE: Faisalabad won the boys’ team archery event of the Independence Day Punjab Inter-division Archery Championship at Bhurban Stadium in Murree on Friday.
The second position of the event went to Sargodha while Rawalpindi finished third.
As many as 80 male and female players including special players from all nine divisions of the province are participating in 70m individual and 30m team events.
Earlier, chief guest DG Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh after inaugurating the championship awarded archery gear worth Rs200,0000 to all nine divisional teams.
DG Sports Punjab on this occasion announced the construction of an archery stadium at the Nishtar Park Sports Complex in Lahore. “The winning team of the Inter-division Archery Championship will be given a Rs100,000 prize,” he said.
Punjab Archery Association president Malik Imran Liaquat on this occasion announced to give a prize of Rs100,000 to the victorious team.
