Work on IJP Road project to start soon

ISLAMABAD: Construction work may soon start on overhauling of I.J. Principal Road as officials of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), NLC and Nespak visited the site on Saturday. Project will be completed in 18 months with an estimated cost of Rs4.9 billion.

As many as one flyover each on 9th Avenue and IJP Road and two bridges will be constructed at Kattarian and Pirwadhai to keep the traffic running and citizens do not face problems like traffic jams.

According to a statement, member engineering of Capital Development Authority on Saturday along with DG Works, Director Road South, Nespak Consultant and NLC team visited IJP Road area of ​​Islamabad, took a detailed look at the pace of development work.

Further orders for early commencement of survey, soil investigation, pile road test were issued by the member engineering to the staff concerned.

It may be recalled that in this project two bridges and two flyovers will be constructed on IJP Road to reduce traffic congestion, flyovers on 9th Avenue and IJP Road while two bridges will be constructed at Kattarian and Pirwadhai will keep the traffic running and citizens will not have to face problems like traffic jams.

On this occasion orders were also issued by the member engineering to the staff concerned to speed up the work.
