No differences in BAP, says party senator

QUETTA: Senator Danesh Kumar, a leader of the Balochistan Awami Party, on Sunday said that those trying to create differences in BAP would fail in their conspiracies and the party members would stay united.

Talking to reporters, he said: “Differences exist in every democratic party.”

Mr Kumar, who is a member of a committee formed to resolve differences between Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani and some estranged members of his cabinet, said that CM Alyani would complete his five-year constitutional term.

Answering a question, he said a no-confidence motion has been submitted to the Balochistan Assembly by some opposition members and now it would be their decision whether or not to withdraw it. However, he claimed that the no-confidence motion has not been signed by any MPA of BAP or its coalition partners in the provincial government.

He said differences exist in every political party and it is the beauty of democracy. But, he added, there is no truth in the rumor that 15 days have been given to CM Alyani to resolve issues raised by the estranged members of BAP. He said the chief minister would remove concerns of the estranged members of the party within 15 days. He accepted that the estranged members of the party have complaints against some bureaucrats, but they can be resolved.
