Girls top Abbottabad board exam results
ABBOTTABAD: Twenty-two girl students shared the top three positions in the secondary school certificate examination results, while three girls grabbed top positions in the higher secondary school certificate results, announced by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Abbottabad, here on Monday.
The results were announced by the board’s controller of examinations.
A girl grabbed the first position in the SSC results, while 10 girls shared the second position and 11 girls shared the third position, respectively.
In HSSC results, Samaviva Bibi of Peace Group of Colleges, Mansehra, secured 1,096 marks and got the overall first position. The second and third positions were bagged by Romaisa and Sawera Asif of Tamir-i-Wattan Public School & College, Abbottabad, with 1,090 and 1,088 marks, respectively.
In pre-medical group, the first position was jointly shared by students of Peace Group of Colleges, Mansehra, namely Qudsia Qasim and Hifsa Noor with 1,086 marks each, while the second position was shared by three students. Similarly, the third position was shared by five students.
In computer general science group, Syeda Alisha Abid of Tameer-i-Wattan, Abbottabad, got first position with 1,078 marks, Nazira Tanoli of Peace Group of Colleges, Abbottabad, with 1,076 marks got second position, and Umer Hayat Khan of Peace Group of Colleges, Haripur, with 1074 marks stood third.
In humanities group, Sana Manzer of Jamiatul Mohsinat Girls School, Upper Channai Mansehra, with 1,068 marks got first position; second position was jointly shared by Nabeela Ishaque of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Haripur, and Saima Banaras of Government Girls Degree College, Abbottabad, with 1,064 marks each. Third position was bagged by Tayyaba Inayat of GGS Qalanadr Abad with 1,034 marks. Prizes and awards were also given to top three position holders by board’s chairman Mukhtiar Ali Khan at a ceremony.
