Health: Easy breakfast ideas for you

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but I am sure some of you guys don’t like to have breakfast daily, especially when you have to rush off to school on weekdays.

Let me tell you that all successful people like to eat a hearty breakfast to keep them energised throughout the day. A good breakfast also gives positive vibes to your mind and body, and gives you the feeling of motivation and satisfaction as your body receives the proper nutrients needed to begin the day.

Here are a few quick and easy breakfast ideas that can pack you with lots of energy and leave you feeling revitalising. You can share these ideas with your mum so that she can help in planning the breakfast menu in advance and make it easy for you to enjoy a hearty breakfast each day.

Yoghurt smoothie

Fruits are a delight to include in your breakfast and nothing beats the energy you get from yoghurt. If you are not in a mood to eat something, then just add some fruits in one cup yoghurt and blend it to have a delicious cup of smoothie.

You can add some water, but only a little quantity, to make the mixture smooth and not too saturated.

Cereals

Cereals are a classic form of breakfast dish that most children and adults enjoy. Just pour hot milk or cold into a bowl and add your favourite cereal in it, followed by sugar if you want to have it sweet.

And the best part is that you do not even have to drink milk separately as your required milk intake is covered by having the cereal.

Egg sandwich

Eggs are also an important protein source to have in your breakfast. If you are fond of boiled eggs, then you can mash them with butter or mayonnaise, and make a sandwich with it. Season with salt and black pepper.

Tea and paratha

When talking about paratha, you can also have the classic combination of paratha with tea or doodh patti, if you want to connect to your true desi self. This is a favourite breakfast combination on any given day. However, paratha also go so well with an omelette or fried egg. Most households have this a few times a week.

Fruit salad

As we are always in a rush during the mornings, you can chop your favourite fruits into a salad at night and keep them in the refrigerator to have it in the morning. You can add orange juice or any fruit extract for added flavour.

French toast

It is always a delight to have something easy-to-make, which is also tasty, for breakfast. You can have French toast with warm milk, tea or coffee. Just add one egg and sugar in some milk. Soak the bread slices in it before frying them until the colour changes to light brown.

Nutella and banana on toast

If you love chocolate, this one is for you. Spread Nutella on toast then put some pieces of banana on it to enjoy a sweet and energetic breakfast.

Bananas are highly nutritious; they are a good source of vitamin C, vitamin B6, dietary fibre and manganese. A banana in the morning will give you the feeling of fullness during the first half of the day.

Chicken sausages with scrambled egg

A combination of sausages with scrambled eggs with toast is also a yummy option.

Just make a scrambled egg and sprinkle some salt/pepper on it and have it with sausages. You can also chop the sausage and mix it in the egg when preparing the scrambled egg. To add extra flavour and richness, you can add some shredded cheese.

Shakes and juices

Whatever seasonal fruits are available, you can use them to prepare either a shake or a juice. Normally, shakes taste better if they are prepared using banana, mango, peach, strawberry, pineapple and dates. You can also use two or more fruits of your choice to make the shake a little thicker to keep you full longer.

For juices, you can use vegetables and fruits, including apple, orange, pomegranate, carrot, grapefruit etc. The best thing about shakes and juices is you can store it in a bottle and keep it with you to have it later also.
