Policeman, relative gunned down in PIB Colony
KARACHI: A policeman and his close relative were gunned down allegedly by a serving policeman in PIB Colony on Sunday evening.
Area police said that Waheed Gul, 43, and Naeem Shah, 42, were gunned down in Ghausia Colony.
They added that Head Constable Gul, posted in the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Karachi police, along with his relative was sitting at a teashop when Constable Amjad arrived there, started firing and fled.
They sustained multiple bullet wounds and were taken to the nearby Liaquat National Hospital where they were pronounced dead on arrival, said an Edhi Foundation spokesperson, whose ambulances later took the bodies to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) to fulfil medico-legal formalities.
Investigators collected spent bullet casing as well as a ‘clear’ CCTV footage from the spot.
