Two killed in Swabi
SWABI: Two persons were killed in separate incidents here on Monday.
Parmuli police station officials said accused Lal Nawaz and Zarnosh Khan opened fire on Ajnabi Shah, leaving him critically injured. He succumbed to injuries while being taken to the tehsil headquarters hospital.
Registering an FIR with the police, mother of the deceased said that her son was targeted over an old enmity.
In another incident, Niaz Ali, a resident of Mangal Chai village of Gadoon Amazai, was killed when he was hit by a speeding van while crossing a road.
The van driver escaped the scene. A brother of the deceased got registered an FIR against the driver.
Also, a man, namely Tahseenullah of Dagai village, was injured when his neighbours allegedly opened fire on him. The cause of the incident was a dispute on a street.
TRAINING FOR STUDENTS: Rescue 1122 director general Dr Khateer Ahmad has said training of students in tackling emergencies is vital.
He was speaking at a function held in Karnal Sher Khan Cadet College, Swabi, at the end of a training course for students.
Mr Ahmed said trained students could tackle a fire emergency in an effective manner by not only protecting themselves from any harm, but also shifting people to safety.
