Covid-19 claims life in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: One patient died of Covid-19 and 40 more got infected on Monday According to officials of the capital administration, the deceased was a male and was in the age group of 80-89. He was a resident of Tumair.
During the last 24 hours, 2,712 tests were conducted in Islamabad and results of 16 men and 24 women came positive. The positivity ratio was recorded at 1.47pc.
The data further showed that 10 cases were reported in the age group of 10-19, followed by eight in the age bracket of 40-49, seven were in their 20s, five in their 30s, three were in the age group of 60-69, two each were the age bracket of 0-9, 50-59 and 70-79 while one patient was in his 80s.
APP adds: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration has arrested 109 people and sealed 143 restaurants for non-compliance of anti-coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs).
The civil administration teams headed by assistant commissioners (ACs) in collaboration with capital police visited hotels, restaurants, shops and markets to ensure strict enforcement of SOPs, said Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqaat on Monday.
Sharing details, he said the authorities imposed fine amounting to Rs203,500 on 4,113 shops.
Some 145 shops were also sealed for violating the SOPs, he added.
