The decision was taken at a meeting of the ruling party which continued till late on Saturday night. The meeting, presided over by BAP founder Senator Saeed Ahmed Hashmi, was attended by Balochistan Assembly Speaker Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo, party’s acting president Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, chief organiser Mir Jan Mohammad Khan Jamali, secretary general Manzoor Ahmed Kakar, Sardar Mohammad Saleh Bhootani, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetiran and other senior members of the party.

The meeting also decided to choose new parliamentary leader of BAP after the no-trust motion and remove differences among the members of the ruling party which is facing a crisis due to a division on the issue of no-trust motion. The meeting expressed confidence about the success of no-trust motion against the chief minister as the angry MPAs of BAP and allied parties were united and the group was intact.

Meanwhile, another meeting of BAP, presided over by its chief organiser Mir Jan Jamali, discussed the prevailing political crisis in Balochistan. Mir Jamali said the differences among members of the parliamentary party over the issue of no-confidence motion were a matter of serious concern and such situation would harm the party.

The meeting urged them to resolve their differences.

The meeting endorsed the decision about appointment of Mir Zahoor Buledi as acting president of BAP. The participants suggested convening a general council meeting of the party as soon as possible. The meeting expressed serious concern over the statement of Senator Anwarul Haq Kakar against the BAP founder on social media.

Meanwhile, Senator Saeed Hashmi, along with BAP acting president Zahoor Buledi and other members, held a meeting with Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) president Abdul Khaliq Hazara on Sunday and sought his party’s support for the no-trust motion against the chief minister. However, Mr Hazara, who is also sports and culture minister, told the delegation that his party is with CM Alyani and could not support the no-trust motion against him.
