Eid Miladun Nabi celebrated with religious fervour in KP

PESHAWAR: Eid Miladun Nabi was celebrated with religious fervour across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday and on this occasion various functions were held where the ulema and other speakers asked the people to follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) to get success in this world and the hereafter.

In Peshawar, Milad processions were taken out by Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat from various parts of the city, which marched on different roads.

On the morning of the 12th Rabiul Awwal, a procession was taken out from Gulbahar area, which was led by Pir Syed Inayat Shah Bacha. Similarly, a Milad procession emerged from Naguman area, which was led by PTI MPA Arbab Waseem.

The main procession of the celebration was taken out in the evening from Milad Chowk, which concluded at Qissa Khwani Bazaar after marching through different city roads.

Several religious scholars spoke on the occasion and highlighted different aspects of the life of the holy Prophet.

Buildings in the provincial capital were illuminated and big banners were displayed in connection with the Rabiul Awal. People on this occasion distributed free food to passers-by, while Milad conferences were held in the local mosques.

Meanwhile, Rehmatulil Alameen Conference, arranged in Malakand by deputy commissioner Altaf Ahmed Shaikh, was attended by a large number of religious scholars, social activists, political representatives and local people.

Speaking on the occasion, renowned religious scholar Imran Hilali said that the holy Prophet’s life was the best example for all human beings to live a successful life.

In Haripur, Milad processions were taken out from Mohallah Eidgah, Rehmania Masjid, main city Haripur, Khalabat Township, Khanpur, Ghazi and surrounding areas.

Hundreds of the participants in vans and trucks and some riding horses marched through the designated routes of processions. Led by Sajjada Nasheen of Chohar Sharif shrine Sahibzada Habibur Rehman, the main procession, joined by small ones from villages and towns, started from Madressa Anjuman Islamia Rehmania,Haripur.

People recited Naats while the religious scholars shed light on the life of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

They stressed for unity of the Muslim Ummah. Tight security arrangements were made on the occasion.

Milad functions were also held in Haripur jail and the University of Haripur.

In Batkhela, a prize distribution ceremony in connection with Eid Miladun Nabi was held in a private educational institution on Wednesday. Deputy commissioner Altaf Ahmed Shaikh distributed prizes among the winners of Naat, Qirat and speeches on Seeratun Nabi (SAW).

In Kohat, students and Ulema expressed their allegiance and love with Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) at the Seeratun Nabi conference held at the Government Higher Secondary School, Gumbat.

Additional assistant commissioner Mohammad Iqbal and Ulema spoke on the occasion. The chief guest later distributed prizes among the winners of Naat and Qirat competitions.

Meanwhile, the procession of 12 Rabiul Awal was held under the aegis of Minhajul Quran, which originated from Shah Faisal Gate and culminated at the shrine of Hazrat Haji Bahadur on Tuesday.

In Bajaur, the main event of Eid Milad was organised by the district administration in Civil Colony, Khar. Eid Miladun Nabi functions were also held in Dera Ismail Khan, Tank and other districts of the province with religious zeal.
