Stop taking your parents for granted
This is regarding the article “Stop taking your parents for granted” by Tanzila Asim Zafar (YW, October 9). The article gave its readers a great lesson and made them realise the value of parents and the sacrifices they make for children.
Unfortunately, we children tend to ignore the importance of our parents in our lives and, instead of expressing gratitude, we take their love and sacrifices for granted. There is no substitute for our parents, they deserve our best in everything.

The article “Stop taking your parents for granted” by Tanzila Asiim Zafar portrayed the unconditional love and sacrifices parents offer their children.
No doubt, parents are the only people who think about us with absolute sincerity. It is our responsibility to take care of them, listen to them and spend time with them.

Teachers are superheroes
This is with reference to the cover article “Teachers are superheroes” by Ambreen Arshad (YW, October 2). I am grateful to the writer for writing on a wonderful topic that covered our beloved mentors and superheroes — our teachers.
Teachers have tried their level best to cope with the demands of the technology-based classes during the pandemic. I endorse this article to be the best in recognising the efforts of all the teachers who went through a tough time in understanding the online system of education.
Although the online class system was an astounding way of learning for both the teachers and students, it was more arduous for most teachers as computer literacy was not common among ‘old-school’ teachers.
During the pandemic, teachers worked so hard that there are no words to describe their patience and struggle, so it is our utmost duty to show them gratitude.

I appreciate Ms Ambreen Arshad for writing on a very significant issue regarding the struggles of our teachers during the pandemic in the article “Teachers are superheroes”.
The article highlighted the hard work of teachers in keeping us informed and educated throughout that tough time. The teachers put their full efforts in teaching their students on a daily basis by conducting online classes, whether they knew the system or not.
I heartily applaud all the teachers around the world for their hard work in taking online classes.
