The Serai Gambila police station registered a case against the killer.

TRADERS’ DEMAND REJECTED: The Lakki Marwat district price review committee has rejected the request of traders’ representatives to increase the prices of essential commodities.

The committee met in Tajazai on Tuesday with additional deputy commissioner Mohammad Anwar Khan Sherani in the chair.

The meeting reviewed rates of food items and heard proposals of traders’ representatives, who asked the administration and the food department officials to increase prices of some essential commodities.

However, the additional deputy commissioner turned down their request and instead decreased the pieces of rice and pulses. He also directed the food officials to maintain the previous rates of food items and ensure provision of relief to people.

Mr Sherani said the price control magistrates would pay frequent visits to bazaars to check availability of food items and implementation of the official rate list.
