TAXILA: District Coordination Committee for Public Grievances Chairman and member National Assembly retired Maj Tahir Sadiq has directed the officials of provincial and district government departments across the Attock district to improve governance, service delivery and to solve public problems on priority basis.

He was chairing the meeting of the District Coordination Committee for Public grievances at the deputy commissioner’s office on Wednesday.

Chairman CM Complaints Cell Rawalpindi Division Akbar Khan Tanoli, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam’s Representative Malik Ijaz, Deputy President PTI Attock Qazi Ahmed Akbar Khan’s Representative Shehzad Shah, Deputy Commissioner Attock Imran Hamid Sheikh, SP Investigation Attock Asif Masood and other were also present on this occasion.

He said the complaints, grievances or any injustice reported by the public to Pakistan Citizen’s portal need urgent attention of the administrative officers to solve the problems of citizens as early as possible.

It further said any officer found not responding to any public complaint would be dealt with as per the law. He said all the officers must adopt an open-door policy and listen to the complaints of people and resolve them on a priority basis.

Mr Sadiq said the purpose of setting up this committee was to solve public problems, therefore, the people can make a formal written request for redressal of their grievances which will be discussed in the meeting of this committee and their solution will be made possible.

The meeting reviewed the development works and issues related to building, public health, health, social welfare, gas, Wapda and other departments.

Reviewing the law and order situation in the meeting, Member National Assembly retired Maj Tahir Sadiq directed the district police to pay special attention to the law and order situation and take all possible steps to safeguard the lives and property of the people.
