Stop taking your parents for granted

I appreciate the beautiful article “Stop taking your parents for granted” written by Tanzila Asim Zafar, as she conveyed the message of loving and respecting our parents unconditionally.

We should keep in mind that parents are also human beings, they may also be going through problems which they may not want to disclose to children and thus remain silent.

We should always take care of them. It is our moral duty to respect and love our parents, lest we regret it after they are gone.

The human connection

This is with reference to the story “The human connection” by Sarwasha Mairaj (YW, October 9). The story was penned very nicely as it highlighted the current trend of doing online shopping, which makes people lazy.

As a result, there remains very little connection and interaction with other people.

I am thankful to YW for focusing on a very important issue, which we hardly pay attention to. It is better to stay away from people in a pandemic but remember; retaining human connections should remain our ultimate goal, as there is nothing better than having genuine friends and people in our lives.

I agree with Sarwasha Mairaj in her article “The human connection” that we must not depend on doing everything online as it destroys relationships. By doing online shopping, we could suffer in various ways. For instance, we will have fewer interactions with people and we can become socially awkward and physically dull. Thus in order to have a healthy lifestyle, we must go out and do things in the real world rather than in the digital world.

Safety in your hands

This is regarding the cover article “Safety in your hands” by Rizwana Naqvi (YW, October 9). I am a regular reader of Young World magazine. I always find a lesson in every article and story published in YW. I strictly adapt the lessons and tips into my daily life. As a result, I have seen great changes and improvement within myself.

Similarly, I hope other kids also take the articles and stories seriously. The writer has presented the importance of hand washing in a very effective way. Sadly, people take it as a time-wasting activity. However, not washing the hands can result in serious illnesses.
