Covid-19 claims two more lives
ISLAMABAD: Two patients died of Covid-19 while 47 people tested positive in the last 24 hours in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Officials in Islamabad said a resident of Rawat aged 70-79 years passed away while 40 new cases emerged in different parts of the capital.
During the last 24 hours, 3,621 tests were conducted and the positivity rate remained 1.1 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, seven people tested positive while 13 patients were discharged from hospitals after their recovery in the last 24 hours.
Mumtaz Begum, 62, a resident of Koth village, was admitted to a private hospital on November 5 where she died.
As per data from the District Health Authority, the positivity ratio in the district remained 0.7pc. Total 1,085 samples were collected out of which seven tested positive. There are 99 active patients in the district - 19 in hospitals and 80 home isolated.
Two each of the new patients arrived from the cantonment areas and Potohar Town and one each from the city area, Gujar Khan and Taxila.
Officials said four of the patients were admitted at Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH), 11 at Rawalpindi Institute of Urology (RIU), three at Fauji Foundation Hospital and one patient at Bilal Hospital.
There are three patients on ventilators and eight on oxygen.
