SACM claims Punjab govt is performing better than Sindh
LAHORE: Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) on Information Hasaan Khawar says good governance is not about overcoming problems, it is about overcoming them in a timely manner.
“Everyone will realise the facts if the performance of the Punjab government is compared with the Sindh government,” he said while speaking at a presser here on Thursday.
He said an integrated digital mechanism was being devised for the Ehsas Ration Programme that would be beneficial for the future generations as opposed to the cheap ‘photo shoot governance’ of the past. He said the subsidised bread scheme of the Shehbaz era was consumed by ‘tandoors’ and wealthy people of the posh areas.
He termed it the beauty of democracy to listen to government allies in decision-making on important policy issues. He claimed the government was working in collaboration with the people and its allies to make the election process transparent and non-controversial.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan did not declare war on the judiciary after he was called to appear before the Supreme Court. Like the PML-N, he said, the PM did not call workers to reach the court in buses nor did he speak against the judiciary.
Mr Khawar said the ministers and civil administration were fully active in ensuring the availability of sugar and flour. He claimed that supply of six million Panadol tablets had been ensured in Lahore. The government was reducing smog by introducing zigzag technology.
