Two held for friend’s murder in Sialkot
NAROWAL: Sialkot police arrested two persons on charge of killing their friend, an employee of the Sialkot Waste Management Company, about a month ago.
According to police, Bilawal Khokhar Masih (24), a resident of Christian Colony, Sialkot, had left home for work on Dec 6 but did not return home. A first information report (FIR) was registered with the Nikapura Police Station by Afzal Masih, Bilawal’s brother, who had complained that his brother had been kidnapped by unidentified persons.
According to Khurram Malik, the spokesperson for the Sialkot police, Bilawal’s body was found in the fields on Dec 8.
District Police Officer Omar Saeed Malik formed an investigation team, headed by DSP City Circle Rana Tariq Nadeem. Deputy Superintendent of Police Tariq Nadeem and in-charge homicide investigation Irfan Ashraf traced the blind murder using the latest technology.
Mr Malik said Bilawal was killed by his friends, Muhammad Akmal and Zaman, who wanted to snatch his new motorcycle and a mobile phone from him.
According to a police spokesman, the suspects had killed Bilawal by putting a noose around his neck. They have confessed to committing the crime while police recovered the motorcycle from them.
